I'm sorry, but if you are doing this you are chasing sales away. A recent study showed that displaying prices immediately resulted in more sales.

If you are selling online then your prices HAVE to be shown somewhere, so you are not hiding them from your competitors.

If you are not displaying them immediately then you are forcing your visitors through extra steps to find out your pricing.
